Dr. Alison Messina D.V.M.

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Alison Messina grew up in Staten Island, NY and obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Wildlife Biology from Rutgers University in 2005, followed by her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Dr. Messina completed her veterinary clinical program at the University of Pennsylvania. Her professional interests include geriatric medicine, pain management, and dentistry. Dr. Messina is dedicated to providing thorough, high-quality care for her patients, while also providing comfort and compassion to their families. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys playing strategy board games, painting, reading, and baking. Dr. Messina lives in South Philly with her dogs (Royal and Kaylee) and cats (Elliot, Bruiser, and Virtute).

When I made the decision that I wanted to join the Anderson Veterinary Clinic team, Dr. Anderson really took me under her wing and helped me invest myself wholeheartedly. Since then, I've been helping pet owners make healthier choices and living a healthier life with their pets.

I love coming to work everyday! Ever since I started working here at Anderson Veterinary Clinic I have been reading and learning as much as I can about pet health and well being. Now my pets and I are living a healthier life and can pass my knowledge and experience to other families so they too can discover wellness!
